FAQ

Questions, answered

Still wondering about something? Email us at hello@firstaidfreecourse.com.

Is it really free?+

Yes. Every course, video, quiz, final assessment and certificate of completion is free. There's no credit card, no trial and no certificate fee.

Can I use the certificate for a job application or workplace requirement?+

No. Our certificate confirms you completed an online knowledge course. It is not an accredited, licensed or regulatory certification and does not include a hands-on skills assessment, so it won't satisfy OSHA, HSE, childcare licensing or most employer requirements. If you need a certification for work, ask your employer which accredited provider they accept.

How long is my certificate valid?+

Two years from the date you pass the final assessment. First aid guidelines evolve and skills fade, so we recommend a refresher before then. Your dashboard shows the expiry date and lets you recertify at any time.

What are the courses based on?+

Content is written to align with published international guidance, including the ILCOR consensus on science, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross guidelines, and the European Resuscitation Council guidelines. Each course lists its sources and content version.

How do the quizzes and final assessment work?+

Every lesson ends with a short knowledge check. When you've completed all lessons you can take the final assessment — a random set of questions from the course's question bank. You need 80% to pass, and you can retake it as many times as you need.

Do I still need hands-on training?+

We strongly recommend it. Online learning builds knowledge and confidence, but skills like CPR and tourniquet use are best mastered by practicing on a manikin with a qualified instructor.

Can someone verify my certificate?+

Yes. Every certificate has a unique number and QR code. Anyone can check its status on our verification page.

Is this medical advice?+

No. Our courses provide general education. In an emergency, call your local emergency number and follow the dispatcher's instructions.

Someone near you will need help one day.

Be the person who knows what to do. It's free, and it takes less time than a movie.
